Edward Onoja’s Nomination As Gov. Bello’s Running Mate, A Master Stroke, World Class Combination – Barr. Zacheaus Dare Michael

The nomination of Chief Edward Onoja as the running mate to Alhaji Yahaya Bello in the forthcoming November governorship election has been described by Barr. Zacheaus Dare Michael, as a master stroke, and a world class combination that would secure victory for the All Progressive Congress.

Barr. Dare a Chieftain of the Kogi State APC stated this in a congratulatory message to Chief Edward Onoja, described the nomination as bringing the two best in the APC team as candidate and running mate, therefore described the November governorship election as a no contest for the APC, said there is no vacancy in Lugard House.

Barr. Dare described the nomination of Chief Onoja as the best thing that could have happened to the APC in the coming election, said by his nomination as running mate he has widened the chances of the party, and sealed the victory for the APC long before the election.
He described the combination of Gov. Bello and Chief Edward as one that is in the interest of the state, would lead to rapid development in all sectors of the economy, commended Gov. Yahaya Bello for the choice that would improve on development in the state.
Barr. Dare congratulated Chief Edward Onoja for the nomination as running mate and equally on the conferment of the the title of the Grand Commander of the Igala
Kingdom conferred on him by Igala Cultural Development Association, described the nomination and award as a product of hard work, consistency and dependability.

Barr. Dare described Chief Edward Onoja as a living legend, said he is living in the present, but has seen the future, commended him for his boldness for finding it worthy in correcting the ills done to the youths of the state in the past, insisting that youths of Kogi state have never had it so good like is presently obtained in the Gov. Yahaya Bello’s administration.
Barr. Dare wished Chief Edward Onoja well in his future political aspiration, assuring him of his loyalty now and always.

60 Killed As Troops Clash With Boko Haram Fighters In Borno

At least 60 people were feared dead in a clash between troops of the 7 Division, Nigerian Army and the militant group Boko Haram around Kayamula village, few kilometres from 21 Armoured Brigade (Giwa Barracks) on Wednesday in Maiduguri. Most of those killed are suspected to be members of the terror group. Kayamula village of Konduga local government area of the state is about 20km drive from Maiduguri which has suffered series of deadly attacks by terrorists in the past. “35 members of the terrorists including women suicide bombers were killed by troops, while 27 residents near Kayamula and Alau Dam villages were slaughtered by insurgents after they were repelled and chased away by troops,” Vanguard quoted a reliable source to have said.
