The senator representing Kogi west on Sunday, May 8, took took to his twitter account and tweeted a photo of himself hawking groundnut.
Senator Melaye balances a tray on his head to send a message to Nigerians.
Dino posted the photos in a bid to inspire his followers and all who cared to read, as well as give insight to his own struggles.
In the picture, the senator looked well dressed as per usual with his flashy and huge ring, fitting timepiece and properly tailored native attire.

However, the picture has stirred dust, as many have said it made more of a paradoxical statement. The neighborhood was one of affluence, with preened lawns. Sparkling luxurious Range Rover SUV peeking from the side.
Senator Dino did not hide his love for exotic automobiles which he has at different times posted on social media.
Some argue that there are two things from the picture which portrayed his message for the struggling lower class.
“Do not despise the days of humble beginnings- his own humble beginning being that he once sold groundnuts.”
“Going from the way he balanced the tray on his head, it surely would not be hard to believe that Dino did sell groundnut at one time, maybe not in traffic though.”
“The uncouth nature of the area the picture was taken, contrasts against the cultured, rich and robust looking senator and his ‘fake’ customer Zaaky also depicts the wide berth between the supposed impoverished childhood Dino had and the obviously lavish life he lives now as an adult.”
Senator Melaye’s message to Nigerians is simple; no matter how hard things might be at the moment, it pays to dream of a better tomorrow and work towards it, for he said: Keep your dream alive. You can and will make it.
Meanwhile, Dino Melaye recently shared his life experience with Naij.com. The Senate committee chairman on FCT said growing up was not a smooth journey for him.
He narrated how he worked as a bus conductor, soft drinks and Kunu, and worked as an attendant in filling stations. He further noted that he worked in Nickle sweets in Kano for six years. He stressed that whenever he was broke in school, he goes there and work there all through the night. According to Senator Melaye, he bought his jamb form from being a conductor.
